Katarina Mitrović was born in Belgrade. She studied Serbian literature and language for four years at The University of Belgrade, Faculty of Philology. She is currently a graduate student at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, department of dramaturgy. She published two books of poetry: The Womb (2017) and While I wait for it to pass (2018), as well as the verse novel Not all houses have a yard (2020). She worked as a screenwriter on the TV series The Group and Mom and Dad are playing war. She cowrote the short feature film One who brings the rain, directed by Isidora Veselinović, and adapted to screenplay the drama Pavilions by Milena Markovic.
